Banff Upper Hot Springs
A second trial on the Banff Upper Hot Springs in the morning: we tried to have a soak yesterday evening as well but it looked like “too many potatoes being washed in the water” (i.e. too many people as Japanese say) – it was too far from our peaceful hot spring experience in Japan.
After a good soak in the respectable 39-40 degree pool, Yasuko lured Philippe into a short and easy walk of Hoodoo Trail. The path started from “Surprise Corner” where we had a very good view of the famous Banff Spring Hotel with a bus-load of Korean tourists and led to Bow River in the back of Tunnel Mountain. We had our nice home-made (read: made by Yasuko) sandwiches at the riverside. Somehow, as usual, we took a wrong turn and dived into a too narrow path in the bushes. After a breathless 45-degree uphill we successfully reached near our campground. Our supposedly easy-going walk after the bath turned out to be a very sweaty one : (
